Thundercat Plays SAT Wednesday March 1st
By the time Thundercat starts to meow on the fifth track of his newest album, “Drunk”, and then proceeds to lament about how cool it would be a cat, you start feeling slightly ashamed that you still love the song regardless of it all. We’re not going to pretend Thundercat isn’t unique or original, sometimes even confusing, but it all comes together in such an unpretentious and soulful way that you can’t help but love it. Hell, check out the track below — he gives Michael McDonald more street cred than Warren G & Nate Dogg combined after they sampled “I Keep Forgetting” on “Regulate”.
