It’s been already a week but still I have my hangover inside my veins. But hey, I’m going to share the mementos I witnessed to the people about the recently held KPOP Switch happened last Sunday (Sept. 4) at the Fisher Mall in Quezon City based on my perspective. But before I proceed, I will share the little info about that.

What is KPOP Switch?

KPOP Switch is the event organized by Link-Up Productions (under the helm of Vincent Sy Igno). So, every Filipino KPOP Fan can switch on their gender-bending ability with all the stuff that in store for us like games, performances, fashion show, competitions, and a lot more. And for the first time ever, they had their first KPOP Tyro Dance Competition–where the budding KPOP cover groups–who really want to shine in front of the crowd even they didn’t have their awards and exposure–battling out to be known in the community.

The Venue

The event venue is still the same vibe after I attended last May. But this time, with a different take. The calm before, a lot of people banged their bucks to enter. Plus, they’re selling their tees and concessionaires like bag tags, shirts, etc.

A lot of contests to compete

There’s a lot of people inside the community competing with different talents in different categories.

First up is the KPOP Singing Competition where the people (mostly KPOP Fans) competing each other with their vocal prowess with some dash of emotional feels.

Next up is the KPOP Cosplay competition where every KPOP Fan showcases with their talents and at the same time, portraying their idols with their costumes.

Third is the KPOP Tyro Dance Competition–which is the first of its kind–where the newbie KPOP Cover Groups–has no experience but oozing with talent–facing off with their moves and grooves and they’re aiming to be known in the community.

Fourth is the KPOP Couple Ulzzang Contest where the kilig-worthy couples walking down the runway wearing their cute outfits and at the same time, showing their good looks and of course, bringing their kilig to a whole new level.

And lastly, is the KPOP Dance Cover Competition–this time they’re exchanging their genders (hence with the event name)–showcasing their knack on stage with a different take.

Link-Up ventures fashion

During that, Link-Up has been launched their new venture–the Link-Up Collective. Where style meets comfort with their line-up of clothes. Link-Up Muses and KPOP Cuties posing around with their sleek outfits. (DISCLAIMER: We don’t have a Cuties pics because we went home early).

Games to play

I will never call the event without games. And yours truly joined and danced with the tune of BLACKPINK’s Boombayah (even I have no dancing skills). So, I got eliminated. At least I tried.

Total entertainment

They have performances to keep themselves entertained. First up is Sphynx and lastly, Krissha Viaje of Girltrends took over the stage.

The very energetic and eager crowd (as usual)

Of course, I will not call it a day without the very hyper crowd. Because of that, they’re screaming and shouting because they really enjoyed a lot–from competitions, to games, models, performances and of course, the feels.

Conclusion

I think it seems that Link-Up indicates another successful event they organized so far. I’m one of the people who really enjoyed a bag of goodies like singing contests, cosplay. cover dance contests, and a lot more. I hope in the near future, they will make another successful events to make it memorable. And oh, by the way, before I go, I’m going to leave with a very sweet picture.
