I’m starting a new podcast
A couple of years ago, I started a Medium publication — TheMillennialOFW.
Then, after publishing a post on 11 July 2018, I decided to stop. I was 26 years old, and I felt I didn’t have anything worthwhile to share on the topic of being an overseas Filipino worker anymore.
Looking back, I think I was right. At that time, my life revolved around work, dating, and adjusting to life in New Zealand. Everything I wrote about revolved around those three topics. It didn’t take long before I ran out of personal stories and experiences to share.
But, after almost five years, I realised something. The journey of an overseas Filipino worker is filled with struggle, uncertainty, self-reflection, and hopefully — triumph. It’s a rich narrative that all overseas Filipino workers live through. Not just me.
And I believe it’s a narrative worth sharing.
I’ll be starting a new podcast for The Millennial OFW. Storytelling would be its primary focus.
Real stories. Real OFWs.
Here’s a short clip from the first episode:
I hope it’s something you’ll find interesting as well!
