Hello there, MUSERS. Welcome back to theMUSINGS.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to successfully draft and publish this article. But I’ll try.

Okay, time for some backstory now. I started theMUSINGS in October 2021. The publication was growing fast and everything was fine. We also hit the 200+ followers mark shortly after.

But then I quit. But why?

Because I had to go to a new hostel. And it was my first time. So, you know, it was hectic. (Everything is super awesome right now.)

The publication kept getting new story submissions and requests from awesome Medium peeps to get added as a writer. But I was so worn out to take notice.

I passively added a couple of writers and a few stories and then I totally gave up.

But it’s time to start again.

So, yes, theMUSINGS is open for submissions.

What will be the theme of this publication?

At the moment, there isn’t any!

Yes, you heard it right. I want this publication to host and house anything you write — until you have put your heart and soul into it.

But eventually, I would want this publication to focus more on:

  • Self-development
  • Personal stories
  • STEM and Design
  • Writing and Medium
  • Love and Relationships
  • Travel and Adventure

How to get added as a writer?

Just fill out this Google Form and you’ll be added to theMUSINGS within 24 hours.

If the above form is not visible or you are having any kind of problem in filling or submitting it, simply comment under this story with your Medium username and I'll make sure to add you to the pub :)

Some pointers to keep in mind:

  • Please don’t use any clickbait in your title or sub-title.
  • Don’t fill your whole story with unnecessary CTAs (Click To Actions). They distract readers and are also aesthetically unpleasing. You can however put links at the bottom of your story. Please limit that to 2 or 3 at maximum. This ensures readers don’t get spammed and feel comfortable hovering around.
  • Make sure to edit and format your stories as much as you can because I’m only 16 and this small gesture from your side will put so much burden off me. Use Grammarly or other services like that to make this job a little easier.
  • If you use any affiliate links, please disclose them then and there. Also, don’t forget to give images credit and make sure they are license-free. Some good sources to pick images are Pexels and Unsplash.
  • We accept both fiction and non-fiction stories. All forms of writing are welcomed as of now — short form, poetry, etc. Self-help stories are also acceptable.
  • No need to use formal language. You can use emojis, GIFs and other sorts of things too. Let’s be humans and not machines. (Shhh! Don’t tell that to your boss.)

I’ll add more resources for you guys shortly. Until then, share the love and keep writing.

Thanks for your support. Love y’all, always.
