Loneliness is buying your own birthday cake
Trying to find a way to fit
all the guests in the living room
But sleeping in a single bed

Loneliness is overthinking
unmade decisions
Trading non-ending todays
for never coming tomorrows

Loneliness is being a jolly good fellow
For the fear of being nothing more
Overloading your sore heart with all the ones you love
But none of them is yourself

Loneliness is celebrating a new year
Knowing the last one just passed you by
And you did nothing
