must make effort
to slip
safely into port
across
trackless ocean

of navigation made
to sail,
on wings of wind
and lean ’gainst gale
behind
lean-to, far-flung skirts
of closest cove
— and it never hurts
to see the tug hove
o’er horizon,
extraordinary grace
of guiding light to haven
— another ace —
