I don’t need your
rules, your regulations
but
I could do with a little
structure
but
nothing big, see
I don’t want it
overarching,
concealing my sky
also
nothing solid, see
I don’t want it
undermining,
hollowing out my
solid ground
so
shaky footfalls
falling silent
lent me wisdom
domesticated me —
meaning is lost
ostensibly
