Gwennie

Gwennie, my #3, my baby, my youngest one to be subjected to blind sighted divorce, continues to be my sweet, sweet child.

Says me…

Gwennie, what does momma call you?

She responds…

Angel of luvvv momma

I call her so many things:

♥︎ Gwennie Lou Who

♥︎ Love muffin

♥︎ G-love

♥︎ Love heart

♥︎ Lou-bear

She’s this giant doll child. Tall for her age, incessantly growing.

Born 12 pounds 7 ounces….and now stretching thin.

Born with love radiating out of her, love from the Grampy who passed days before her birth, and with love for her Grammie she would soon lose too.

See, she got me through this pain….

pain

— of divorce from my best friend of 20 years, pain of insecurities that lay deep in my bones, pain of growing up with a junky brother.

But what I really want to tell tonight is a typical sweet conversation I just had with Gwennie just moments ago. She got out of the shower and with a towel wrapped around her damp skin and she plopped on the plush carpet and said…

Mom, you know how much I love you?

I say…

Yes, You love me almost as much as I love you.

She looks upward towards the ceiling trying to get a more clever answer

No

I love you 10k

I respond..

Ah, like 10, 000 times?

She smiles…

No, actually, I love you 10 million miles that way. That’s how much I love you.

I beam…

Oh, you are my love heart I love you soooooo much!

Now, time for bed, want a lavender oil massage?

— and sweet tears fall from my eyes.
