The pixies do not know how to cook, for they do not eat and so only theoretically grasp the concept of ‘food’. Yet they spent many hours, perhaps centuries of their own color of time hunting and finding, reading and synthesizing countless human records to craft the perfect recipe. It is an amalgam of a dozen different dishes, each with a clashing palette of flavors and sensations, several of which are reminiscent of being hit in the head with a brick, is somehow both cold and hot in all the wrong places, and I swear I saw it move on its own for a moment. But still I accept their offering and nervously taste of the dish, savoring the smiles and gleeful giggles of the precious little pixies.
