Why, Oh Why?

Of what the struggle, to tread alone?
What troubles ye bear, so far from home?
Must it so a burden be
To travel afar, alone, but “me”?
Nay! Those with sight shall see
Never alone are as we
There is one who forever will
Carry us over our every hill
Beyond our babbling, barren brook
You’ll hear his birds, know where to look
Sacred is as sacred does
Why, oh why? Just so “because”
