27 Nov 2016 — I love Sprint Salon and self-publishing ❤
From Silvia Lanfranchi to Nuphap Aunyanuphap
Hi Nuphap!
Finally we got to go to see Sprint together (eventhough it’s a last day)!
Super interesting network!
Now i’m full of new ideas and books!
I will post here some things I previously found and I think is very interesting:
→ “Paths / Sentieri”, Andrea Boscardin. Photography, watercolors, maps, texts, binding, hardcover by Andrea Boscardin, from the project: “Of Hunting and Nature” (italy 2014/2016). Book made in collaboration with Yumi Goto and Reminders Photography Stronghold.
Limited edition of 50 handmade copies numbered and signed. Hardcover white or green. Color digital print, 96 pages 110gr + 3 little books inside (12/16/16 pages) color 70gr. Size: 148x210 + 3 little books inside: 90x140/105x148/105x148
Book: 37 pictures, 9 maps&text, 4 scan. Books inside: 8 texts, 8 watercolors, 7 pictures. Weight: 390 gr. for hight price.
This describe perfectly the interesting interaction that the reader have with the book/object, with notes, quote, some stuff that put inside the page.
This reminds me of: “La collina dei ciliegi by Simona Di Meo” where the book have inside other things. Collect things. The same with the book “La nave di Teseo by V.M. Straka”
→ This is a very interesting graphic and books from new fuzaostudio.
→ 0_100 Editions is an independent publishing project dedicated to produce strictly limited edition photographic wordless stories.

→ TunicaStudio have a super website.
→ Other suggestion comes from Conversas.
Conversas is a series of weekly informal meetings made so that we can get to know and discuss projects and interests. Corversas start in portugal — Lisbon.
Conversas publish sometimes a book with a summary of some meetings in a book that they make by theirself.
→ Lahar is a free press posterzine super special for the format and the subscription sale!
→ At sprint, we also met Sara, a designer form Atto press that we previously sent an e-mail to meet them. A super coincidence!
ps. for our readers, Atto is a design consultancy based in Milan that provide a risograph printing consultancy and service
>> Sprint suggest to me what is better for our distribution. In my last post i write to you a list of possible way.
From this list I wanted to cut Crowdfunding.
Crowdfunding is the practice of funding a project or venture by raising monetary contributions from a large number of people. Crowdfunding is a form of crowdsourcing and of alternative finance.
I think that works well for big project, video, music and less for creative/artistic things.
I research some principal platform and most of them don’t have a category that talk about publishing. I try to search better!
What do you think?
Tell me if you have some suggestions about Distribution and Sell!
Now i continue a research and let see!
Yeah! That’s it!
Talk to you soon!
