We should be stocking up on sweaters and leggings for fall, but most of us are clinging on to the last of summer for dear life. It feels only right that you soak up the very last of NYC’s brutal humidity and sunshine. This weekend is all about unleashing your inner kid and what better way to do that than dancing with strangers and cosplaying as a wizard? We’ve got your weekend planned!

This event isn’t sponsored by J.K. Rowling, the Harry Potter franchise, or Warner Bros. film adaptations, but one can guess that it’s most likely inspired by the bestselling children’s series. At the end of the day, adults are just big kids who want to get a little boozy and dress up like wizards (not to be confused with the children of Hogwarts #copyrightinfringement), right? Don’t answer that. Just gather your friends and head for the World of Wizardly Crawl for a night of wizard costumes, booze, and local DJs. You can find your tickets here but you’ll have to go wand shopping on your own.

The story goes that a large group of strangers gather in a typical club to listen to music…through headphones. Some call it silent clubbing. Some call it that really awkward time you realized you were the only one screaming in the room. Some call it something that would only work in NYC. Everyone is right more or less. Coney Island, Brooklyn’s loudest neighborhood during the summer, is bringing back the Quiet Clubbing Festival featuring six live DJs, LED hula performers, and fire twirlers. Check out the deets here.
