Lunar New Year, a.k.a Chinese New Year, falls on Friday the 16th this year. According to the Chinese zodiac, 2018 is the Year of the Dog, so this week the GIFs are going to the dogs. As half of the globe will be celebrating, don’t be surprised if some of your coworkers or classmates don’t show up tomorrow. Even if you don’t traditionally celebrate the holiday, it’s a good excuse to treat yourself to lucky foods that people will be having, e.g., noodles for a long life and dumplings to rake in the dough. Make sure to whip up something special for your pooch too. Woof!

Actual footage of everybody politely making their way to the buffet table at Grandma’s.

Also, everybody patiently waiting for their red envelopes.

The rare Pug of Prosperity. Repost for good luck and good fortune.

A coveted gift from the OG zodiac dog.
