Our Bucket List for the Weekend
New things like Everlane’s Soho shop and midnight cult film screenings in the East Village
Happy Friday! It’s that time of the week again, when you’re torn between actually going out and staying safe in your blanket burrito all weekend. I know the struggle too well, my guy. But here’s a mini list of new things worth leaving the house for.
#SohoBlessed
Shift your Saturday plans, people! Everlane — yes, the amazing ethical brand with the most perfect pumps, and puffers you’ll actually want to wear — is FINALLY opening a brick-and-mortar shop in Soho. No more waiting for surprise pop-ups or counting down the days for your package to arrive. If you ask me, there’s no better excuse to brave the crowds on Prince Street this Saturday.

Cult’s in Town
This weekend only, LES theater Sunshine Cinema is hosting a run of midnight screenings for the best worst movie ever made. Infamous for its astounding awfulness and terrible script, The Room is a cult classic everyone needs to experience at least once. And with James Franco starring in The Disaster Artist, a new comedy based on the book about the making of this ironic hit, there’s no better time to watch it. Act fast before all the seats sell out.

High-end Hot Pot
Forget cuffing season, winter is all about hotpot. If you’re craving a cozy meal with just the right amount of atmosphere, hit up the broth squad — Tang Hotpot is now open for business on the Bowery. With five different soups to choose from, including Sichuan Spicy Beef and Pumpkin Seafood Broths, there’s a flavor profile for everyone. And with options like Dungeness crab and wagyu beef, this is the perfect spot to kick off winter.
