Pizza and Parties — All You Need in Life

Get ahead on Memorial Day plans, eat some healthier (?) pies, and party disco punk

Brooklyn’s newest pizzeria, Mother Dough, is the kind of place you’ll go for when you have the munchies and want to feel better about the carbs you’re having. Led by a pastry chef, the pie purveyor’s focus is on the dough, made with whole meal flour, cereals, and 10-year-old starter yeast. Choose between the whole-wheat or barley crust depending on how grainy you feel that day. Plus, there’s a special margherita for Team Gluten-Free.

Throw on your best early 2000s look and get disco punk at Knitting Factory‘s Friday night party in Brooklyn. DJs will be playing music by favorite icons like The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, Empire of the Sun — you get the idea. Kick off the weekend with a throwback!

No plans for Memorial Day weekend? Even if you can’t get out of the city, you’re in luck!

Elsewhere in Bushwick is throwing a party to celebrate the opening of their new rooftop venue (yes, there’s a bar), the latest addition to the ever popular warehouse space. They’ve got all the essentials for a good time up high: sunset happy hours, BBQ, live music, DJs, and everything sweet.
