Fall is upon us and so are grey, rainy days. Don’t let the temperamental weather get you down this weekend, and head out to see some exciting festivals coming to the city. Learn how to do drag makeup and visit RuPaul’s DragCon or head over to Queens Hip-Hop Festival to see up-and-coming artists. Whatever you decide upon, have an umbrella in hand and a backup plan on standby.

You may have attended every music festival New York threw at you over the summer, but we promise this one is different. The festival kicks off in Queens on Friday and runs through the weekend, featuring a number of curated events including workshops, panels, an art exhibition, and a film screening. It’s going to be a rainy weekend, so we advise against crop tops and cargo shorts, but honestly, do you fam. Follow updates on the festival lineup on the ‘gram and find your tickets here.

Returning for its fourth year in Williamsburg, Brooklyn Comes Alive is bringing the heat in 2018. With unique collaborations with music’s leading acts and a special tribute to Prince, the festival is a great opportunity to network and find underground artists exploring the boundaries of genre. Inspired by the music culture in New Orleans, Brooklyn Comes Alive is a colorful, vibrant celebration of passion projects, DIY music, and collaborative art. You can find your tickets here!
