Happy holidays! It’s that time of the year, when you’re torn between actually going out and staying indoors before Xmas. I know the struggle too well, my guy. But here’s a mini list of new things worth leaving the house for this festive weekend.

Silent Night, Spooky Night

Is it forever Halloween in your heart? Looking for more spook than Christmas cheer? Start texting your fellow horror fans. Along with screenings of holiday classic It’s a Wonderful Life, Nitehawk Cinema is hosting midnite screenings of Silent Night, Deadly Night tonight and tomorrow night. Yes, you can order snacks and booze to your seat, so you don’t have to miss a second of Santa doing maniacal killer things.

Nitehawk Cinema, 136 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn

Mexicana Munchies

Bushwick’s got a new spot for the Mexican munchies. Inspired by the traditional, casual dinner-like spots in Mexico City, La Loncheria is the first of its kind here. They say they’re serving “the best rustic Mexican food outside of Mexico,” and by the looks of their menu, we don’t think they’re bluffing. With offerings like lamb-belly barbacoa and roasted porchetta tortas, the spotlight’s definitely on their sandwiches. Yes, there are also some fine-sounding tacos and a pretty packed cocktail list.

La Lonchería, 41 Wilson Ave., nr. Melrose St.

For rest of December, open from 5 pm.

From January 1: Mon-Wed from 11am — 1am, Thurs-Sat from 11am — 2am, Sun from 11am — 12am

Your Once-in-a-Year Chance to Get Into Gramercy Park

Hit up the boo thang. For one hour only, the exclusive Gramercy Park opens its gates to us mere mortals on Christmas Eve. Entrance is free for the annual caroling event, but you’ll still feel like a million bucks just standing in the space. Hum along with the carolers or complete your secret list of all the things you’ve low-key wanted to do inside the park.

Only from 6 pm — 7pm
