Some quick notes on BPaaS and RPA. While BPaaS is offering processes as a service does RPA offer automation of manual tasks. What better combinations can you get? BPaaS vendors can leverage RPA technologies to optimize the delivery and value of there BP services.

What is RPA doing in a nutshell?

Robotic Process Automation is a technology that allows anyone to create their own bot that performs the action of a human interacting with a digital system. RPA uses therefore the user interface as the human does to perform the actions. The actions can be to trigger responses, interact between systems, extracting data, manipulating data, and many more. These scenarios can be a simple autoresponder in a chat or automating jobs in large ERP systems.

RPA leverages the existing nature of IT infrastructure without causing any disruption and has the main objective to automate business processes.

What are the advantages of using RPA for business processes as a service?

As RPA aimed to automate business processes it’s a complementary technology for BPaaS vendors. They can utilize RPA bots in their own technology stack to improve the process. RPA is highly used in BPOs because of the simple nature to automate simple or even more complex tasks that are currently still handled by humans.
