About Bushel

Bushel is a leading provider of software technology solutions for growers, protein producers, food companies, and grain buyers. They are headquartered in Fargo, ND and they launched in 2017. Their vision is to connect and enhance the grain industry through digital infrastructure. The Bushel platform now serves over 1,200 grain receiving locations in the U.S. and Canada with 20,000 producers using Bushel-powered applications monthly.

About the Investment Closure

Bushel announced today that they closed on a $19.5 million Series B investment. The round is led by Continental Grain Company, a global investor, who owns and operates companies across the food, agribusiness, and commodities spectrum. Additional investors include Germin8 Ventures, Lewis and Clark AgriFood, and others, including previous investors. This investment will help facilitate Bushel’s digital connectivity for the agriculture value chain.

Bushel + NDSU

Bushel has direct ties to NDSU. Both co-founders — Jake Joraanstad and Ryan Raguse — are NDSU grads in computer engineering and accounting respectively. They have continued their connection with NDSU since founding Bushel, mentoring students from The Nice Center, judging pitch competitions and speaking as a Wold lecturer.

As Bushel continues to grow and create the future of ag tech, NDSU looks forward to connecting students with this fast growing start-up.
