It’s not often I get to jump into the third person, but today’s the day! :)

RuralX June 19–20 in Mitchell, SD

Ozbun Executive Director of Entrepreneurship, Scott Meyer, will be representing NDSU as a speaker at RuralX June 19th in Mitchell, SD.

According to Dakota Resources President, Joe Bartmann:

RuralX is a gathering for rural people who are trying to make their local community thrive. We call them rural shapers because they are the ones who wake up every day and think about how to make the places they love better for everyone.

As the Director of The Nice Center at NDSU, Meyer will be sharing how communities can engage with universities to stand out, attract and retain talent, and create work that matters. He will also share the importance of entrepreneurship in building a resilient and dynamic community for everyone.

Bartmann notes:

We’re excited to have Scott in our lineup this year because one of the most important roles that those rural shapers want to get better at is understanding what it takes to connect and support local business owners. We love that Scott has been there as an entrepreneur growing his own company, has connected and supported countless other companies along the way, and now is committed to building the role of higher ed in supporting these ecosystems in rural places.
