The shivering cold weather has returned,

The weather of runny noses and muddied boots,

How many more seasons shall we wait,

For the show to wrap up and end.

One by One they fall,

Like animals in a failed circus,

The corpses smell pungent,

What once was Shola, Tunde and Valerie.

1,2,3

The months go by, the numbers pile up,

What toll will Covid take?

19, 19 million, 19 months or 19 loved ones?
