An informal survey presents the gap between computer and medical doctors and biologists
I have been for the last 6 years dedicating my academic life to scientific spreading of biomathematics. Officially, it started in 2014, when I created a YouTube channel dedicated to biomathematics; I have also created several blogs, the main is here. At the time, I invited some people, prof Maggio (University of L’Aquila) in special answered me call; I also gave a series of talks to the Thursday Morning Science, in special about Matlab for medical doctors and biologists. This was the starting of the current YouTube channel I have about biomathematics, the ebook I am writing and the Udemy courses I am launching. During this walk, I always knew that there was a gab between medical doctors and biologists (life scientists from now on), and computer science, that was the rationale behind my endeavor: assisting on this contamination.
Recently, I came accross a tweet
All this evidences brought me to review a talk I gave to Thursday Morning Science some months ago.
My audience: mainly medical doctors
The majority of the life scientists do not use computer based solutions: this is a huge opportunity for scientific growth!
Software not user-friendly: hard to use and interface with
