Excellent! While I seem to spend most of my time apparently crying doom that is only doom for the current, aged version of the first democratic revolution. The lessons are actively being discussed. From the beginning I’ve seen this as the violent reaction to the first hints of 21st century, post scarcity, planetary culture. The threats are great but the problem is now limited to the inevitable reactionary minority and they will destroy themselves as they have always done in the past. It is much quicker now as they are showing us, although more disruptive intellectually. It would seem that a quicker means less destruction. That’s definitely better than being blown to shit or burned in large numbers.

I’m not sure we’ve reached cockroach status but we are probably close. I just can’t help but think that is the reason for the Fermi Paradox. Hopefully we figure this out so we become a force for good rather than simply an uncontrollable infection.
