I certainly agree. Originally, like many others, I was concerned with maintaining communication but no more. The US is, I think, doomed as it now exists. Failure to correct two hundred years of cultural and institutional racism, even at the cost of 620,000 lives or 2% of the population in the civil war, has been a major factor in the deep political corruption that is finally destroying the American Experiment.
