I wish it weren’t so but it is. Thank you for this, obviously, heartfelt lament and the honesty to explain why that relationship had to be cut. Much more of that is happening and must happen. The emerging acceptance of a racist, misogynist scum as an usurping ruler is the final death blow to what America thought it was. And in the end this country is only a racist, imperial, military hypocrisy. A denial of what it promised to be.

But that age is past. The old nation states are struggling as their hyper capitalist economies choke on debt tied to petrochemicals that are too expensive to process. The future is diversity and growth of intellectual wealth. Goods are cheap and getting cheaper. As we convert to sustainable economics with the new wealth in the hands of all the people, the old lords will die in their gated fortresses. They will not be missed.
