This is another disaster in the final days of the Trump regime. I hope these are the final days of only the Trump regime and not all of us.

There is a reason that this was never done. It makes no difference that Israel always claimed it. The Palestinians have equal claim. While the two state solution has never been able to move forward with a divided capitol it has been holding a tentative peace. Now that is gone. There is nothing for the Palestinians to hold as an option for continued discussion.

Now the only hope is a fully secular Israel with full citizenship for all residents that neither, yet, wants. The hope was a stable, low grade situation waiting for the religious bullshit to fade away. If that were the plan it was killed by Trump. We now have a new intifada with a day of rage tomorrow.

The ultimate stupidity is that this gains absolutely nothing for this tattered country. There was no gain so no reason other than Trump wanting desperately to claim he did something. Now an idiot with more blood on his tiny hands. . .
