This is making me very nervous. Tulsi Gabbard happens to be my representative and is very impressive but she is young and the collapsing establishment throughout the post-industrial world is struggling to hold on to power. They are losing control and have allowed the creation of monsters such as Trump, Le Pen (father and daughter) and others. The protected deep state hyper-capitalists have become more and more blatant in the use of propaganda and character destruction to cling to power. At this point we are hung between the monsters and the dying establishment. That’s a very ugly place to be.

Maybe I’m a bit overprotective but I’m not sure there is anyone with the resources and connections to counter a full scale 21st century media attack by the establishment. And the monsters have no concept of anything but mindless reaction. My expectation is and has been that Trump will succeed in destroying the union and the facade of democracy in the US. Gabbard is one of the young and capable people that we need to build a new order out of the ruins of the old political and economic paradigm. She can be effective as a promise for the future without being immediately thrown into the meat grinder of a political collapse.

It would be better, to me, to use the old order to destroy the monsters and save the new leaders to build a completely new system. In other words encourage Clinton and Sanders with the turning Republicans in taking out Trump and his regime, before it kills us all. I don’t think there will anyone left standing after that. We are all, particularly in Hawai’i, familiar with the Art of War. There are times for realpolitik.
