3 productivity apps you should definitely use to organise your event.

We know that the working hours before an event are countless. Long overnights to find the sponsors, locate the appropriate venue, keep the team on track, organise every single detail… The list of the things you have to do is endless.

That’s why I thought to suggest some apps that help you organise either your team or your very own time.

My first pick is Noisli.

Keep yourself focused at each part of the day

As a person that music is an integral part of my life, I couldn’t choose anything else than a sound-related app. No, Noisli doesn’t play music, there is no match to Sporify. Noisli has a really clean user interface, gives you a selection of sounds to choose from and adjust their volume so you can create your perfect background “noise” to do what many apps say they do but few of them really deliver. Keeping you focused. Even now that I am writing this article, I am using it.

The second app in my list is Slack.

The “mother” of all in-house communications

No there isn’t a better way to chat with and organise your team. No. I said no. Slack is a team collaboration tool which is comprised of channels: a single place for messaging, tools, and files and it dominates that market. The number of apps (https://slack.com/apps) that have been developed for Slack are so many that will make your life easier and your productivity will reach all time highs. In such a short period of time, it has become an integral part of the structure of many event companies I know. No wonder why!

My last suggestion is Trello.

The most neat place to keep your tasks organised.

Trello is the app to use when you want to organise your event. Set it up correctly and you will save many hours from your workload to use for other things (or to sleep, especially the days close to the event). Manage easily starting from the little simple things to really complicated ones and keep your team on track. Every member can have full visibility of the tasks that are currently running. Believe me there is nothing better to see than a few cards having being moved to the stack on the right (completed ones).

These apps (especially the last two) should be the backbone of every team. I just wanted to keep it short and simple as an introduction. Specific tools and methods for various event types will be analysed over time and we can see together what is best for you and each occasion.
