Blue or Beige or Something Else

I ran until I could not distinguish the sand from the sea

Because my feet were rubbed numb with indifference.

On I went until an object appeared

Lost as I was

Between the sand and the sea.

I approached it and long it stood

A platform made of metal.

I lifted one foot and then another

Until I rode the platform

Bearing its weight against the sea.

I watched the sea that at this point forgot to crash

So I crashed for it

Into it

And continued moving my numb feet and tired eyes

Alight with indifference.
