When you get older

You could either be colder

Or start to wake up

You realize patience is a virtue

Mopping around and waiting for people

Waiting on an answer

Will not get you far in life

Some people change

But most people don’t

If you don’t put in effort to make your work speak for itself

To master your craft

To care for others

Find actual joy

Chase excellence over people

And follow God

And know you can’t satisfy everybody

Make everyone proud

Impact and movements are hard to die out

The human condition is a powerful thing

Fame is temporary

Money is a tool

Movements speak through the ages

You are to shine through hard work

Perseverance

Virtue

Not having your arms wide open waiting for change

Pain

Troubled times

These are what makes warriors

Humans have free will

And greatness within

And you could be chased

Loved

Eventually the pain can be enough

But through ages

You can echo virtues

These are what made saints

Martyrs

Known men of greatness

Not how well they fit in

Not chasing lust

Or shameful desires

Or acting deprived

Desperate

With no spine

Affection is great

But not always necessary

As you get older

The ones who done you wrong

Instead of proving them wrong

You no longer start to care

You want them to be cured

Find real happiness

And vanity doesn’t mean much anymore

It is powerful for the soul

To chase greatness within
