Bubba Loves Blockchain

Cue the 90’s music: Bill Clinton loves blockchain. A few days ago, Bill Clinton passionately endorsed blockchain at Ripple’s Swell Conference in San Francisco. Bill, with his trademark charisma, said last week that “the permutations and possibilities of Blockchain are staggeringly great.” Bill supposedly received his first Bitcoin as a gift in 2016, so we are sure that he is trying to bring the bulls back by giving this speech!

It is also fascinating that Bill is a HODLer despite being the former leader of a nation with a central bank, the Federal Reserve. His own wife and former Presidential Candidate, Hillary, seems to agree with more mainstream economic thought. Hillary herself refused to accept Bitcoin for donations during her ill fated Presidential Campaign, calling it “too libertarian.” Call it what you will, but Bill and Hillary’s competing beliefs around crypto would make an interesting dinner table conversation.

Nonetheless, with both Clinton’s and Yale’s investments in crypto, we hope to only see more mainstream adoption and interest in the field.
