Thoughts on Apple products and the tech revolution

Besides being key Apple products, the objects in the title of this post also share something in common: the β€œI” in front of each item.

To me, it focuses on personalizing and customizing technology to your own preferences. It’s to accommodate and serve you in ways tailored to your personal needs.

But is this focus on β€œI” leading to increased isolation?

I remember older times when people would socialize more and make connections with the people around them.

Now, that kind of presence is absent and rare. Our devices have isolated us rather than brought us together.

Maybe it’s time to put them to rest. These are tools rather than substitutes for living. Maybe rather than focusing on β€œI” all the time, we need to focus on usβ€Šβ€”β€Šour presence in an inherently interdependent society.
