Android Origins is a free one-page add-on that expands the android character class. The name generator is neat, but the new Origins and Panic tables make playing an android exceedingly interesting. And by “interesting” I mean “complicated and dangerous”.
The d10 Origins table dictates exactly what kind of android you are. Mothership’s core book doesn’t say if androids are like replicants from Blade Runner or Soong-type androids from Star Trek or synthetics from Alien. It turns out Mothership androids are all over the place. Some are Vat Grown, replicant-style. Some are human-looking robots. Some are “Poorly Understood Alien Technology”, and who knows what that means. Some are one-of-a-kind Frankensteins cobbled together from multiple sources.
