What happens to school kitchens in the evenings or at weekends? Do they simply sit empty until kids return on Monday morning? What if their ovens could be turned on and used to make delicious food for the wider community? Think Sri Lankan curry, sourdough pizza, burritos and Thai green curry all delivered to your door from the school cafeteria — great idea, huh?

School Kitchen partners with local schools to use their kitchens, turning an underutilised asset into a thriving, eco-friendly food service, with the school receiving a share of the revenue — a food service that gives back. School Kitchen first launched at Carr Junior school York in March 2024 and since then they have opened a second location at Latymer Upper School in Chiswick, West London where they offer a dine-in and takeaway service with a selection of world cuisines, like Sri Lankan, Mexican, roast dinner and an inspired ‘School Dinners’ menu designed by some of Britain’s top chefs.
