Eloquent 8-Year Old Boy Convinces Mother to Buy Batman

Today, in a book store, I overhear a conversation between a boy and his mom. She’s telling him to find a thicker book — something with more words. He picks up a graphic novel and says to her that this is much thicker and that it is perfect. She asks him if he thinks it is worth it, “Comic Books just say Yech, Ouch, Pow.Those aren’t real words.”

“It’s a comic book, mom, the drawings say so much more.”
