This year decided to take us all in a direction we never imagined with this: On January 30, 2020, the WHO declared the COVID-19 outbreak a global health emergency. COVID-19 changed a lot around how we function on a day-to-day basis and forced a lot of new systems to come into play we want to highlight remote working…

Did you know In the U.S., 4.7 million employees (3.4% of the workforce) work from home at least half the week? Remote work isn’t as easy as it sounds, without the right structure in place to support this work it can be frustrating sometimes! This year gave us time to learn all about that though... Spending a bunch of time working from home this year sparked a family software-dev project “Bring Dividend Chaser to the IOS Platform” said my Uncle: David Mazzotta! After that, I was off to the races experimenting with Swift-UI! Dividend Chaser was already available on Android and Amazon so an IOS counterpart made sense!

The challenge was this, port the application to IOS using Swift-UI and simplistic app-based functions to support all features found in other available versions! At the end of this project, the final count was ~340 lines of Swift Code... This was a fun learning opportunity/family project used to distract us from how 2020 was going! We published in December of 2020 and hope to expand the app’s user base as we enter the new year, check out the application on your platform using one of the links below.
