Looking Back on 2023: A Year Filled with Opportunities
What a year it has been! As we begin 2024, it’s time to look back at 2023 — a year marked by profound revelations and realizations from our journey.
A Year of Promise and Partnerships
The year kicked off with an opportunity to deliver community services. This commitment was embodied in our partnership with ED2. This alliance weren’t just milestones; it was the catalyst that propelled us into the maturity of the web3 gaming space.
2023 in Numbers and Achievments
In reflecting on the successes of 2023, our achievements stand as a testament to our commitment and the effort of our community. We proudly hosted 15 Project AMAs, offering insightful dialogue and learning. Organized 13 Game Sessions with different game partners; those were the experiences that brought us closer together. We took on 43 separate Discovery Calls with projects, each one an opportunity to explore new horizons and forge potential collaborations.
The excitement was palpable during our 3 Tournaments, where competition and community spirit came alive. Our partnerships grew to include 3 significant collaborations, each bringing unique strengths and opportunities to our ecosystem. Notably, our involvement in beta testing was extensive, with 11 unique projects going through various testing phases. These beta tests were comprehensive, involving form submissions and detailed reporting, ensuring that we contributed meaningfully to the development and refinement of these games. And a big shout out to the Beta Testers for that.
Each of these numbers represents more than just a statistic; they symbolize our active, hands-on approach in building our journey, bringing opportunity and empowering all those wanting to be involved. The web3 space moves fast and we were relentless in our pursuit.
Navigating the Fast-Paced Web3 Landscape
One major takeaway for 2023, the rate at which ideas and networks grow is incredibly fast. Great ideas one moment can quickly become irrelevant the next. Rate of iteration has to be just as fast to stay ahead of the curve. We witnessed emerging community networks shore up their value propositions, thereby solidifying their position in the web3 ecosystem. This underscored an important truth: what web3 doesn’t need is just another community; it needs communities with purpose and direction and a strong market fit.
Phases and Value Adds: Our Theme for 2024
As we look towards 2024, our approach is defined by clarity and purpose. We’ve come to understand that while value is easily communicated, it’s challenging to measure. A prominent theme from 2023 was our focus on activations, and we are now expanding this concept into distinct phases. By concentrating on activations within these phases, we aim to create genuine value, bridging the gap between our community and our partners. This strategic shift ensures that our efforts are quantifiable and steers us away from an endless cycle of perpetual activity. This is crucial, as throughout our web3 journey, the elusive nature of promised outcomes has been a persistent challenge for many communities, including ours, in sustaining efforts and achieving our envisioned goal.
Our Core Team: The Pillars of TRT
In 2023, despite numerous changes, our core team has maintained its lean and focused structure. Craig has taken the lead in Professional Gaming and Recruitment, fostering engagement with our Game Partners. Kris is at the forefront of Partnerships and Collaborations, bringing TRT into new opportunities. Andy oversees our tech operations, while continuing to push development to add depth to our offering. As for myself (Brendan), my responsibilities lie in communications and logistics, anchoring the flow of information and direction.
However, the core team isn’t the sole contributor to our success. The Vanguards have been instrumental, lending their support through various growth phases and activations. Additionally, our Beta Testers have provided invaluable assistance in game testing with their form submissions. The combined efforts is what we are truly appreciative for.
