Generation Z individuals born between the mid-1990s and early 2010s grew up in a world deeply immersed in digital technology and constant connectivity. As digital natives, Gen Z has an intrinsic relationship with the internet and mobile devices, shaping how they communicate, learn, and interact with the world around them. They say they value authenticity and transparency and are more likely to seek out brands and leaders who share these values. They want to be known for their strong sense of social and environmental justice and are supposedly committed to causes that aim to improve the world. With a global and open mindset, this generation redefines norms and expectations in various areas, from work to consumption and education.

As a millennial who interacts with individuals in this age group daily, I have observed some things about their behavior, especially digital behavior, which takes up a large part of their days.

Here’s what I’ve noticed:

1. They are online “killing time” more than anything else.
