Punk rock Peninsula: photos from the final run of the Vans Warped Tour

The summer concert series touched down in the Bay Area one last time, at Shoreline Amphitheatre

The Vans Warped Tour came to the Bay Area for its final time this weekend.

Making the rounds since 1995, the annual summer punk rock counterculture skater-friendly mosh pit-oriented variety hour arrived to Shoreline Amphitheater on Saturday for one final day of guitar-driven festivities.

Still boasting numerous acts across multiple stages, Warped Tour continued its music fest tradition of showcasing an abundance of talent, featuring more than 80 bands on a single day with the likes of Black Veil Brides, Pennywise, The Maine, Reel Big Fish, Knuckle Puck and Unwritten Law. They join the ranks of the many (MANY) acts that have played the festival over the past twenty-some years, from No Doubt to Joan Jett, Rancid to Dropkick Murphys.

Though the tour has suffered from poor ticket sales in recent years, Shoreline quickly filled to capacity on Saturday, the mood far more upbeat than nostalgic.

Six Fifty photographer Adam Pardee was in attendance to turn his camera towards the final victory lap of this punk rock staple.
