Results of the first Theta Surge Contest on SLIVER.tv: win-win for streamers and viewers!

When Theta Token was integrated into SLIVER.tv in December, it was a first in esports streaming. Users could earn Theta Tokens just by logging in and watching streamers, and they could use these tokens to reward their favorite streamers on SLIVER.tv. It was a great start toward rewarding the top streamers, but only the first stage in integrating SLIVER.tv and Theta.

Last week, we took some big steps toward our future vision of the platform. Viewers and streamers can now purchase premium items like CS:GO skins, SLIVER.tv raffle crates, and gear from G Fuel. More items will be available very soon, including some big ticket items from our partners!

We also launched the first of many promotions to turbocharge Theta Token donations to our streamers, especially the up and coming ones! Last Friday we selected streamer AnderUK for the Theta Surge, highlighting him on SLIVER.tv. The viewer who donated the most Theta to him would also receive a $1,000 Dragon Lore skin for CS:GO!

The results for AnderUK were he had 3x his regular number of viewers, plus in just 2 hours users sent him £550.32 worth of Theta Tokens! Things worked out well for the winner of the $1,000 Dragon Lore as well:
