About the Creator
Jason D. Page creates his images in the dark and uses Light as his medium. He uses a camera to record the movements and traces of light he creates within the frame during one single long exposure. Jason crafts invisible worlds of light, by hand, that are only revealed when the camera’s shutter closes. The resulting Light Painting is the compression of time, space and movements of light onto one single photographic frame. There is no photoshop or photo editing used to create anything you see in his images. Like an NFT, every Light Painting is unique and unrepeatable.
Jason has been creating his Light Painting work since 2004. He is widely recognized as a leader in the current Light Painting movement with his consistent innovation and groundbreaking images. Jason has invented numerous Light Painting techniques and created images that are known throughout the world of art and photography. His work has been published on the largest art and photography websites as well as in photography magazines around the world. Some of the brands that Jason has worked with include iHeartRadio, Electronic Arts, Polaroid and Olympus. He has shown his work in exhibitions around the world and even collaborated to have the first Light Painting in the Guinness Book of World Records! Jason is also the Founder of LightPaintingPhotography.com and the inventor of the system of tools specifically designed for Light Painting called Light Painting Brushes.
Drop Overview
Jason D. Page’s first Light Painting Drop is called “Illuminated Beings”. All of the “Illuminated Beings” are created in real time and captured to the camera in one single photographic frame. There is no Photoshop or photo editing used to create anything that you see in any of the images!
Light Painting Packs
In this Drop there will be 2,040 Light Painting Packs. Each of the Light Painting Packs will hold one of 8 different “Illuminated Beings”. Each “Illuminated Being” is more rare than the next.
Rarity
The rarest “Illuminated Being” is an edition of 8, the next is an edition of 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024.
NFT Utility: Unlocking an Exclusive Making of Video
If you collect any of the “Illuminated Beings” NFT’s you will be granted exclusive access to the behind the scenes “making of” video of the rarest Light Painting in this series “Illuminated Being #1”.
Light Painted Golden Tickets: Redeemable NFTs
In the Light Painting Packs there are also 8, randomly placed, Light Painted Golden Tickets. The Golden Tickets have a corresponding “making of” video hosted by the Theta Video API! Each of the Golden Tickets is redeemable for a one of a kind, signed and numbered physical print. The prints will be a 24” x 36” Metallic Paper Print of the “Illuminated Being” that the Golden Ticket represents. Worldwide shipping of the print is included.
25,000 TFUEL Password Puzzle
On the back of each of the “Illuminated Beings’’ prints will be part of a password that combined will unlock a Theta Wallet. If you collect all 8 “Illuminated Beings’’ physical prints or work with the other “Illuminated Beings’’ print collectors to put the puzzle pieces together, you can gain access to this wallet. The wallet will start off containing 25,000 TFUEL. On May 6th of every year deposits of 8% of the revenue Jason D. Page receives from secondary market sales of the “Illuminated Beings” will be deposited into this wallet in TFUEL. Once any funds are taken from the wallet all deposits will stop. This is a social/art experiment related to the nature of the medium of LIGHT.
NEW ILLUMINATED BEINGS AIRDROPS and CHALLENGES
Holders of randomly selected combinations of Two “Illuminated Beings” will be able to claim new “Illuminated Beings”. New Illuminated Beings will be received via “Challenges”. “Illuminated Beings” must be held in your wallet and not listed for sale to qualify. For instance if you hold “Illuminated Being” numbers 4 and 6 in your wallet at the time of the Challenge you will be able to claim the new “Illuminated Beings” Light Painting. There will be 8 new “Illuminated Beings” released. We will be presenting a new Challenge every 88 days to collectors. Challenges and/or Airdrops will be announced on my Instagram, Facebook and Twitter Pages. Only the original eight “Illuminated Beings” will be eligible for Challenges and Airdrops.
