WPT ThetaDrop Launch Update

At Theta Labs we apologize for the delay of the first WPT ThetaDrop, originally scheduled for this past Sunday May 2. We had unusually high traffic due to the live broadcast and real-time advertisements that ran on TV and cable broadcast for the Season XVIII Theta Network WPT Cash game. We recognized that our systems needed to further scale at a global level to support this large demand, where our top 10 countries include not only the US, UK, Australia, Canada but also Spain, Germany, South Korea, Russia, Netherlands and China. For this inconvenience, all users who pre-funded with either credit card or TFUEL prior to May 2 will receive 100 free TFUEL airdropped to their ThetaDrop accounts.

The first WPT Thetadrop along with the Mike Sexton auction is now scheduled to begin Thursday, May 13, 4pmPT. The silent auction will run until Monday, May 17 at 4pmPT, and pack drop will end when they’re sold out or May 17 4pmPT whichever comes first. You will also retain the same random place in line from May 2 for all those on the wait-list, so there are no changes on your side. As a reminder: having a random place in line DOES NOT guarantee that you will be called nor that you will be able to purchase. For example, if there are 1000 people in the wait-list for the 100 Legendary packs then you will have a 1 in 10 chance of being called to purchase, even if you pre-funded this item.

For this first drop, packs will be available only to those who signed up for the wait-list prior to May 2. If you pre-funded and your random place in line is called, you will automatically receive a pack. If you did not select pre-fund and your random place in line is called, you will have a 15-minute window to complete your purchase. Be sure to add your phone number to receive mobile text notifications for when your place in line is called.
