15 Things We’ve Done in Two Months
Network validation, 2 Telegram bots, chainspector utility app, dapp dev tutorial & Telegram group… and many more!
Not so long ago we found some messages on Telos Community Telegram group that questioned the amount of work that some BPs who supported Telos in the beginning are doing nowadays.
Although we think that the Telos community does not consider us among the BPs that supposedly hunker down, we prefer to share a brief summary of what The Teloscope has been doing since the launch of the Telos MainNet. This way people can easily evaluate our commitment and perseverance in working for the Telos community.
Here we go, in no particular order…
1 We participated in the validation of the Telos Network at launch. We developed a script to automate the validation. The script and the validation results can be found at the github repository.

2 We have published a Docker skeleton for those BPs interested in running dockerized nodes.

3 Every time our BP was producing blocks we also dutifully participated in Telos governance activities, for example in the approval process of new proposals (multisig).
4 We have put a public Google Sheet and a bound script together to track BP Performance based on EOSMechanics Benchmark: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PCzBubuRTB6yvyw-iUmC_s8FVcirX0qgcC9GLuwKIyE/edit?usp=sharin
5 We have developed and perform regular maintenance of the Teloscope Bot for the wide Telos community on Telegram. Almost every week we add new features to the bot, many of them sourced from users’ feedback.
6 We have developed and perform maintenance of another bot: the BP Teloscope Bot for the Telos block producer community. We regularly add new features to the bot.
7We’ve just added account creation capabilities to our TeloscopeBot. Anyone with a Telegram account can easily get a free Telos account.

8 We have developed a little but useful tool so you can check whether your account was included in a Telos snapshot (6M). And to achieve a high degree of privacy we’ve deployed it to IPFS.
9 We have developed chainspector, a web application that summarizes several live informations about the Telos Blockchain Network. Four different set of tools (for now) that give the not so tech savvy users the opportunity to easily display useful information about several aspects of the network.
10 We have prepared and started the publication of a DApp development tutorial: the SensorDApp. Consisting of several parts, the fourth of them was published recently.

11 We have launched the Telos Dapp Development Telegram group as a way to facilitate discussion and direct communication with the crowd of creators and developers in the Telos community.
12 We have compiled and published a list of +50 abbreviations and acronyms about Telos and blockchain as a way of helping the community to follow the debate and improve knowledge. We regularly update the list with new entries.

13 We have performed Telos dissemination activities for live audiences: a technical workshop where we encouraged university students to develop on Telos ecosystem, and a conference introducing Telos to an audience of businesses, entrepreneurs and students gathered by the regional Association of Computer Science and Information Technology.
The Teloscope Weekly report: 10–14 Dec 2018
Hi there, we’re sure this has been a rough week for everybody involved in Telos. But surely a very gratifying one. This…
14 We publish a weekly report about our daily activities as a BP, in order to keep the community informed and being transparent about our activities.
The Teloscope Weekly
Weekly reports that encompass the daily from The Teloscope Non-Profit BP:
15 On a daily basis we are in direct contact with the Telos community. You can go to your favourite Telegram client and search within the Telos groups for posts published from @TheTeloscope and @LuisMeijueiro. The Teloscope team chats everyday with many people seeking for help. We are always eager to satisfy the community with our answers.

And of course, we accomplished all of the above while making sure our BP Infrastructure is top notch. We have consistently been among the fastest BPs (see #4 above), never missed a block in our rotations and our API node has had a >99.99% uptime. But we don’t rest, we have some new hardware coming up very soon that will further improve our capabilities.
We like our work to speak for ourselves, and we honestly think you will hardly find many Telos BPs that have accomplished so many things during such a short period of time.
Many community members already vote for us. But for those who still do not, please take this article as our kindly request to re-evaluate your list of voted BPs towards including The Teloscope in it. 😜
