Today we’re releasing a major new feature in beta: styles. The same way you can tap a filter and instantly get a look, styles are shortcuts for telling your story the way you want.
Styles Help You Create Faster
Creating in the style of something is one of the most fun ways to create. It is instant inspiration — a starting point. Styles are a way to direct TRASH’s AI quickly. Want to do a recap style vid? One tap. Actually, let’s make that more of a chronological story video for your Insta? Tap again.
Styles are not necessarily meant to be final results, you still have control over the final video, but they help get you most of the way, faster. Also, psst styles are still in beta so we absolutely want your feedback on this!
Styles are not templates. Styles are complex procedures the TRASH AI has learned to do, and will be unique every time based on your clips. It’s pretty neat! Every time you tweak a style, you’re collaborating with the AI.

Sometimes you have a specific type of video in mind, like a recap video. Other times, you’re looking for a certain feel. We got you with both of those!

The styles offer some major new functionality as well:
Voiceover: the first clip you select will be used as the audio for your vid. Pro-tip: this works really well on your concert vids.
Music Videos: this will synch your video to the entire track. It’s a major piece of the new Trash for Artists beta that we announced the other week.
Filters: Oh man, we’re so excited to share this one with you! Filters replace the old looks, and the best part is that they act completely independently of the styles so you can use them just like a filter, whew. So simple!
Today, there are two packs of filters based on fun aesthetics and movie directors. We’d love to know what other kinds of filter packs you want. Nature? Horoscopes? Celebs?
