A New Move
Movements & Transitions
Over four years ago, we met Pastors Ferdy & Lily Adimefe and they trusted us to pioneer a move of God in the city of Abuja, which became The Tribe Abuja, an extension of The Tribe Assembly. For over four years, they led and guided us, whilst also giving us the freedom to learn, innovate and minister as God inspired us. We love them and we’re more than grateful for them.
Over the past year or so, it became overwhelmingly evident that God was calling us, the Dan-Yusufs, into a new season of ministry; a new move. We started praying and consulting with our mentors, spiritual guides, close friends and of course our pastors. We concluded, to the best of our abilities to discern, that God’s call on us as Lead Pastors of The Tribe Assembly Abuja was coming to an end. This was a very hard realization for us.
However, we know that God isn’t just ending a season of ministry, He is also starting a new one; a new move.
Last Sunday, 30th October, in the presence of our Founding Pastors, we let the church know about this transition, and our Founding Pastors prayed, blessed and sent us forth. This very act, by Pastors Ferdy and Lily Adimefe, we will never forget in our lives. Transitions can be tricky to navigate but our Pastors made this very easy. We will forever honour them for trusting us, leading us and now sending us forth.
Sunday, 18th December, will be our last gathering as The Tribe Abuja and on Sunday, 1st January, 2023, we will be gathering again to hear the vision God has in store for this community.
We, Jesse & Eva,will continue pastoring under this new vision and new move we’ve been called by God to pioneer.
We want to thank everyone that has supported us this season; members and servant-leaders at The Tribe Abuja & Lagos.
Again, we would like to honour Pastors Ferdy & Lily Adimefe for trusting us this past 4 years, and we also want to thank them specially for supporting us during this transition. It is a rare thing to see what they’re doing, passing the baton and sending us into new territory. We honour them deeply.
