I was so hyped when the teaser for The Batman (2022) dropped, and I couldn't wait to watch the movie. When I discovered that David Lewman's prequel novel Before the Batman: An Original Movie Novel would be released before the movie, I had to check it out. It was my first Audible book experience.
Plot and Details
The book details Bruce Wayne's teenage years, including his daily training routine, fascination with learning new skills, and spending time working on his automobile. The book lays the foundations for Bruce to become an expert auto mechanic and racer, which has rarely been explored in other adaptations. The book shows the dedication and commitment of young Bruce Wayne in his journey to become a superhero with no superpowers.
The book also explores Edward Nashton/The Riddler's teenage journey from an orphanage child obsessed with riddles to becoming the enigmatic antagonist that he is.
