Henry Cavill is Wrong About ‘Warhammer’

By now, the world is well-aware of Henry Cavill’s passion for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000. This passion was confirmed by a well-documented tour of Warhammer World last month.
It’s pretty obvious he’s using his star power to elevate Games Workshop for a reason. I predict he’ll announce that he’s producing and starring in a 40K streaming series by the end of the year. He’ll probably play Chapter Master Dante, because Blood Angels are his jam.

Miniature wargaming is the New Golf. It’s expensive and it takes up a lot of space. This is true for a lot of miniature wargames, but AOS and 40K are even pricier than their competitors.
On top of the price, Games Workshop has a predatory business model. GW uses the fear of missing out to prey on a few very invested hobbyists. They go after fans that have sunk so much time and money into the hobby, it’s impossible to escape.
These are the same abusive monetization tactics used by digital game publishers. Warhammer Seasons is basically an IRL “Live Service”. Expensive supplement books, with new rules and stats, will be rolled out every six months. Anyone who doesn’t keep…
