The Twine® Grimoire, Vol. 1

Ever wanted to make Twine look less twiney? Well here’s an introduction to changing the appearance of Twine 2, created by Grim Baccaris, a narrative designer with over a dozen titles to their name. The Twine Grimoire helps new users understand how CSS and HTML can manipulate Twine to better fit how you wish to showcase your project. It’s geared towards newer users of the software, so if you want to jump in to Twine and make something, this might be a fantastic place to start.

[Music Assets] FREE Chiptune Music Loops

Three Red Hearts: Prepare to Dev is an album of Chiptune loops created by Tallbeard Studios, an indie game dev and musician out of the United States. Created as an homage to the chiptune genre of music, this album includes 24 tracks that have been stripped down to just their WAV files so you can import them in to a project of your choice and loop them. It’s a nice way of showing appreciation for the genre while contributing more work to its ever-growing library. If you want some lovely music to listen to, either for a game or just for pleasure, try this out.

Oath of the Good Traitor

In a different direction is the Oath of the Good Traitor, a 5e supplement for the paladin class created by Birdhouse Games (who also goes by just L). This subclass has ‘betrayed’ their organization for the betterment of the world. It focuses on a paladin’s ability to uncover the truth no matter where it lies and bring justice to those that have escaped it for so long. Lies cannot escape you. If you are looking for a paladin that feels like an inquisitor, this is your subclass.

The Wizard: Original Soundtrack

Back to the soundtracks, The Wizard is a game created by Hypnotic Owl that follows the young wizard Kevin as he attempts to track down the person that stole his face. This is not the game, but the 9 songs that accompanied it to add atmosphere to the title. There are some interesting tunes in here, especially since Kevin goes across many locations, and gives a nice rounded OST even if it feels a bit shorter than most. If you liked The Wizard, this is a nice side reward; if you haven’t played it, go try it out. Or just listen and enjoy.

La Mancha — print and play edition

For those looking for something a bit more classic, here is La Mancha, a story card game based on the Spanish classic Don Quixote. Following the style of the book’s adventurous story telling, players will attempt to create their own epic journeys and overcome challenging issues thanks to the cards in their hands. Winners who tell the best stories will gain Treasure cards that will allow for even greater deeds, and the stories can continue onwards to be told across the nation. If you loved Don Quixote and are a fan of fantastic artwork mixed with interactive storytelling, this game is an utter steal at half the price.

Fall Diary

For a more somber tone we turn to Fall Diary, a collection of diary comics by L Reeves who outlines their last semester of college. It details the bizarre and wild issues that can occur during that last stint before freedom, where motivation is at an all time high yet simultaneously at the lowest it has ever been. It’s 32 pages for your amusement, and possibly something to relate to.

GRINDSTONE (Original Game Soundtrack)

Back to soundtracks we go with the OST for GRINDSTONE, created by Sam Webster for the game by Capy Games. As the game is a hacky slashy puzzle game, the tone of the music fits in perfectly with its high octane energy and nonsensical violence. There’s both a wav and mp3 folder for those who like to have choice, so give it a listen if you need something to pump you up.

Anomaly

Anomaly is a Tarot story telling game by Sniperserpent, where the players involved in this gm-less game will attempt to take down a secret organization. As is the nature of the Tarot cards, the game’s focus is on the somewhat supernatural and the player’s abilities to uncover and remove the anomaly that is causing so many issues. There’s a bunch of eerie vibes thanks to the SCP foundation inspiration, and can be a chilling 2–4 hours for anyone involved.

My Friends And I Were Granted Three Wishes By A Cat Goddess And I Swear I Got Distracted When My Turn Came Around

Wrapping up this page is a light novel, as one might expect from the title alone. Written by Alex Zandra, writer from earlier on in the bundle and fellow Canadian, readers will get to experience just what can happen when given three wishes by a magical entity but not being able to follow all the wishes being granted. There’s a lot going on within this title, specifically around self discovery. If you love light novels this might just be up your alley.

I’m behind, gotta get back on track. See you later today probably.
