Ok, I get it: everyone agrees that the latest season of Black Mirror sucked. The shock value and clever critique of our relationship with technology is long gone in favor of much blander stories. On one hand, it’s true that it’s hard to find new ways to entertain people with dystopias.

But what if Black Mirror actually got scarier than it ever was, in a much more subtle way?
