Wanted: Articles on the Dangers of AI-Generated Media
The Ugly Monster is accepting articles about the dangers of text, images, music, video, and other media generated by artificial intelligence — aka derivative AI or stochastic parrots. We’re also open to articles arguing in favor of generative AI.
Submissions can take one of many angles, such as how generative AI impacts media employment and media literacy. We’re also interested in explorations of AI in fiction, like the Terminator franchise, M3GAN, Gareth Edwards’ The Creator, or Detroit: Become Human. AI’s contribution to global warming and water scarcity are also in this wheelhouse, but the piece should still be tied to AI in fiction or how AI is used to generate media.
